Prayer

I have been taught
By a man of God you see
The twelve keys to a successful prayer life
To be used by you and me.

Pray in the name of Jesus
According to God's word
With Faith and Persistence
For Specific things
Is what I've heard.

Pray in the Spirit
Waiting on God
With Thanksgiving and Praise
Pray Abiding in Christ
As we live out our days.

Pray with a Forgiving heart
In Agreement with one another
Is how we need to be.

Get Ready, Get Set and Listen
To what the Lord has to say
And His hand working in our life
We will see.

Prayer is for the young and old alike
From the time we begin to speak
To our 90's and beyond
Another key to prayer is
Keep on keeping on.

The Lord has untold blessings
Waiting for you and me
If in prayer for each other
Without ceasing
We will strive to be.
