New Trail

I've done many things in life; some bad, some good

But the newest thing I've done, I never knew I could.
I have worked from a young age, learning many different tasks

There have been many special ones as the time has passed.

I have always like farm and ranch work; I feel that is where I belong

Had I been born in a different century; As a Cowboy I could not go wrong

The Lord has richly blessed me with this job I do have

Taking care of my horse's feet; Now that is not so bad.

The Lord has taken me down a new trail

To do this new thing, I never thought I'd prevail

Never having dreamed the words the Lord would give me

Much to my surprise, I started writing Cowboy Poetry.

Where it goes from here, Heaven only knows

This is poem #6, and I just started a week ago!

Whether they are any good is not for me to say

All I know is I hope I can make them pay!
