Living Water
Hearing thunder rolling in the
hills, I pray
Lord if it be thy will bring us some rain
today.
For things have been hot and
dry for way to long
If we don't get rain soon all will be
gone.
The rain barrels are empty,
dry as a bone
The spiders have moved in and made them their
home.
The creek has run dry, the
spring barely flows
The cattle and horses are thirsty,
But all this you
know.
For without life giving water
all things will die
Only you can bring rain, not I.
I leave it in your hands Lord;
you know what is best
As for me, tomorrow is another day, and I need some
rest.
Awakened in my sleep by a
thunder and lightning show
I prayed Lord please let the rain
flow.
No sooner where these words
out of my mouth
I heard raindrops hitting the roof of the
house.
I stepped outside into the
rain; I looked into the sky
And praised the Lord for the rain in my
eyes.
Thanking Him for life-giving
water, I am as happy as can be
Knowing He is the Living Water that quenches
the thirst of
You and me.
